About VirayogaThe Review
Founded in 2002 by former fashion designer Elena Brower, Virayoga attracts a crowd of yogis for good reason. One of the top studios in Soho, the practice here focuses on the Anusara technique, a high-caliber approach that has students twisting and bending their bodies into poses they didn’t know they were capable of, as well as vinyasa and Iyengar practices. The result? Increased flexibility, higher energy levels and transformed muscle tone. The studio offers an array of Vinyasa and Iyengar classes as well.
Having been featured as an expert in publications like Yoga Journal and The Huffington Post, Brower teaches weekly classes at the space and heads up retreats worldwide. Time Out New York calls her “intuitive and encouraging,” and her students can expect to breathe deeply and prepare for yoga that’s truly transformative.
